ASPROM is 40 years old!

ASPROM was founded in York on 16 December 1978, with the aim of promoting the study of Roman mosaics in Britain. From the original 20 or so members, it has grown to over 200, with subscribers all over the world.

We celebrated ASPROM’s 40th anniversary by returning to York for the 2018 summer meeting and by publishing a special edition of Mosaic reviewing the discoveries of the last 40 years and paying tribute to ASPROM’s founder, Dr David Smith.
